Monpure London partnered with London’s iconic hotel, The Ned, to bring The Ned’s private members an expert panel on how to maximise scalp and hair health, and the link between hair and identity. There was a full house of people eager to learn and discover MONPURE’s insider expertise.
The event took place at the luxury jazz and cabaret lounge, The Parlour in The Ned hotel, located in the heart of London’s financial district. Steeped in character, London’s former Midland Bank was first designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens in 1924 and reopened in 2017. The Ned has established itself as an Art Deco hospitality masterpiece, replete with rooftop pool, subterranean spa and private members club.
As a collective of hair health specialists and experts, the MONPURE panel provided The Ned private members club direct access to exceptional knowledge and scientific research. As the world’s first dedicated scalp and hair health brand, Monpure London helps people navigate their hair health journeys by alleviating scalp discomfort and irritation, preventing hair thinning and promoting stronger, healthier hair.
According to a study MONPURE conducted with over 435 participants, 87% of people see their hair as a reflection of their identity, while more than two thirds with hair or scalp concerns say they feel unattractive and too embarrassed to speak to their friends and family about it.
The Hair Doctor Will See You Now
The panel featured Monpure Lead Trichologist, Sofia, a renowned scalp micropigmentation and hair loss specialist with over a decade of experience in the aesthetics industry. Sofia offers results-driven hair restoration services, treating a range of hair loss conditions and teaching clients how to take better care of their hair and scalp.
“We are born with approximately 100,000 hair follicles. Once they go, they go, so it's super important to take care of the follicles that we've got.” - Sofia, Monpure’s Lead Trichologist
The panel also featured Dr. Simmy Kaur, Monpure’s Resident Doctor. With over 13 years of medical experience, Dr. Kaur has worked in some of the busiest hospitals and GP clinics in London, and regularly treats scalp conditions and hair loss. She has a deep understanding of the emotional toll that hair loss can take, factoring in a patient’s psychological wellbeing as well as the physical side of this condition.
“We talk a lot about psycho-dermatology at MONPURE. Having a healthy scalp and hair are so important to our identities, which is something that is often overlooked.” - Dr. Simmy Kaur, Monpure’s Resident Doctor
“MONPURE products contain AHAs and retinol. I don't know of any other brand that really works to rejuvenate the scalp and to increase cell turnover. This is something really exciting that we've seen really good results with.” - Dr. Simmy Kaur, Monpure’s Resident Doctor
Founder and CEO of London’s renowned luxury hair salon Gielly Green, Shai Greenberg, was featured on the panel at The Ned. In addition to his entrepreneurial drive and expertise, he is an incredibly talented hairdresser, with over 30 years of top level experience.
“After the pandemic, a lot of people started realising for the first time that they were losing more hair. For me, the last three years in the salon changed the customer journey. People want to look after themselves and take the time for themselves. It's not only about doing the treatment, it's about opening the discussion in a safe environment.” - Shai Greenberg (Founder & Hairstylist at Gielly Green, London)
We are excited to be forging an ongoing partnership with The Ned hotel, which boasts one of London’s greatest architectural achievements and most prestigious members clubs. Keep an eye out on our newsletter for events and talks in the near future.
