Do you find your scalp is incredibly thirsty? (Resulting in dryness and skin flakes.) Whether it’s a change in the weather, or a more chronic issue, we’ve got a trio of products that work in tandem to leave it happy and hydrated.

The Regime | How to use | Ingredient Science | Full Ingredients

For your scalp to be properly hydrated, you need to first give it a thorough cleanse, to clear away all the dirt and dead skin that accumulates over time and prevents the skin underneath from getting its much-needed moisture fix. That’s where our Clarifying Scalp Scrub and Nourish & Stimulate Scalp Mask come in. Together, they make the ultimate hydration power couple, working to sweep away pore-clogging debris, so that the scalp is is perfectly prepped for our Hydrate & Soothe Scalp Serum, ensuring all of its hydrating goodness is absorbed where it needs to be.

Wet hair and scalp and massage the Clarifying Scalp Scrub into the roots, which gently buffs away at the scalp to leave it smooth and reinvigorated, with stearic acid and coconut oil to thoroughly cleanse and condition in the bargain. Rinse thoroughly and apply the Nourish & Stimulate Scalp Mask onto the scalp and tousle through the roots. While the scrub works to exfoliate manually, with jojoba beads to get rid of excess debris, our mask contains resurfacing lactic acid to exfoliate on a more microscopic level, together with argan oil to deliver a hefty hit of hydration. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

Finally, the pièce de resistance is our Hydrate & Soothe Scalp Serum, which intensely revives a thirsty scalp with Vitamin B5 and an ingredient called allontoin that works like a sponge to draw moisture into the skin and keep it there. Part your hair in several sections and apply using the dropper and leave to dry (do not rinse).

Argan Oil

This popular haircare ingredient is produced from Argan trees in Morocco and is packed with essential fatty acids and vitamin E to boost elasticity and shine. What makes it particularly great for hair is that it’s lighter than other plant-based oils, so doesn’t leave it feeling greasy or heavy.

Jojoba Beads

Jojoba is a North American plant (pronounced “hohoba”) from which a liquid wax can be extracted and turned into beads that can be used to gently buff away dead skin cells and product build-up on the scalp.

Shea Butter

A nut extract from the African shea tree, this is a particularly popular ingredient in skincare, as it is swiftly absorbed without leaving any greasy residue. It’s also renowned for its healing properties making it perfect for alleviating scalp discomfort.

Stearic Acid

This plant extract is a particularly popular ingredient in cleansers, as it’s known for its ability to bind oil and water molecules, lifting away excess grease and dirt.

Aloe Vera

You might already be familiar with this ingredient as a popular after-sun or sunburn remedy. It’s a succulent plant that grows in arid landscapes around the world and is full of what’s known as polysaccharides which are famous for their hydrating and anti-inflammatory powers (so it’s a hero for issues like irritation, itching and dryness).

Camellia Tea Oil

Widely used in Asia, this essential oil is extracted from the seeds of the tea plant. Rich in antioxidants and vitamins, as well as essential fatty acids it delivers an intense hit of nourishment to neglected scalps to stimulate hair follicles and enhance healthy hair growth, while leaving it conditioned.

Silk Peptides

Silkgel is a pioneering new vegan alternative to regular silk peptides, providing a “second skin” effect to the scalp and hair follicles. Produced via a process of fermenting plant starch, it’s been clinically proven to not only repair fragile or damaged hair strands, but also protect the hair and scalp from harmful pollutants as well as bacterial adhesion.

Famed for its healing properties, this is an extract from the root of the comfrey plant and is used to both calm irritation and promote skin cell renewal. It’s especially good for sensitive skin too.

Pro Vitamin B5

Otherwise known as ‘pantothenic acid’, this is great if your scalp is dry and flaky, as it works like a sponge – rapidly absorbing moisture and locking it in. It’s also used to treat wounds and irritation, encouraging skin cell regeneration so your scalp is left fortified and soothed.

Witch Hazel

A natural toner and anti-inflammatory, it’s ideal for treating irritated scalps, as it’s historically been used in skincare remedies for ailments like rashes, insect bites, bruises and minor burns - and is renowned for calming sensitive skin.
