Our Partnership with the Little Princess Trust
Here at MONPURE, we have always been committed to highlighting the emotional impact of hair loss – something that has up until now been overlooked. As a result, MONPURE is proud to announce its partnership with The Little Princess Trust charity. A charity very close to our hearts, it provides free wigs made from real hair to children and young people aged 24 and under who have lost their hair through cancer or other illness.
The Story Behind the Little Princess Trust
The charity was founded in 2006 by Wendy and Simon Tarplee, after their daughter Hannah was diagnosed with a Wilms tumour in 2004, which led to her losing her hair. After Hannah tragically passed away in 2005, her parents decided to set up The Little Princess Trust to help other children and young people in Hannah’s situation, after seeing the positive impact wearing a wig made to her life.
As well as providing free real hair wigs, the charity are also supporting research into less aggressive and toxic cancer treatments, as well as researching the causes of pediatric cancer, in the hope that one day, such a charity will no longer be needed.
MONPURE are very honoured to be supporting The Little Princess Trust - helping them provide over 2,000 wigs a year. The wigs are designed not to hide their treatment or pain, but instead to crown their courage and bravery.
